The Grand Tour, which places the highest demands on fitness and technique.
From the valley station of the Hochkar lifts, the route follows the first part of the Ringkogel Trail. From the Ringkogel, always following the ridge, you cross the Schwarzkogel, Gamskogel, Hochkirch and Sonnstein and reach the highest point of the trail, the Dürrenstein. Via the Herrenalm (temporarily closed), whose medieval alpine hut invites you to take a break, the trail leads mainly downhill to Langau, from where the path - with the Ötscher in view - now climbs back up to the Riffelsattel. Follow the ski slope for the last few meters downhill to Lackenhof. Note: Water is scarce on this trail (Herrenalm), which is why you need to carry enough liquid with you.
High alpine terrain!
