How to reach us

The skiing vacation or day trip is just around the corner, the things are packed - now the only question is: What is the best and most comfortable way to travel to the Hochkar? Many roads lead to Rome and also up to the Hochkar. No matter if you travel by car or by public transport - the Hochkar is definitely worth a visit!

By car to Hochkar

Via the West Motorway A1

From Vienna: Drivers coming from the capital towards Hochkar should take the A1 motorway in the direction of Salzburg and exit at Ybbs. After leaving the A1, continue on the federal road B25 to Göstling an der Ybbs. Around six kilometers after the town center, all Hochkar fans will reach Lassing. Turn left onto the Hochkar Road and drive up the mountain to the valley station. After approximately nine kilometers, all summit seekers will reach their destination.

From Salzburg: Those coming from the city of Mozart should take the A1 and then the Amstetten West exit for the fastest and most convenient route. After the second exit at the roundabout, all mountain adventurers follow the federal road B121 towards Waidhofen an der Ybbs. Passing through the city, the state road L31 leads to Göstling an der Ybbs. Six kilometers after the town center, in Lassing, turn left onto the Hochkar Road to reach the ski area. After approximately nine kilometers, all summit seekers will arrive at their destination.

By the way: From both motorway exits, it is approximately 60 kilometers to Göstling an der Ybbs.
Good to know: In winter, please pay attention to road conditions. Snow chains may be required!
