Ski touring at Hochkar

Due to high demand and some confusion regarding ski touring at Hochkar, we would like to inform you about the current regulations:

The ski area is closed.
The terrain is not secured, not groomed and not monitored.

If you are still heading out with touring skis at Hochkar, please stay within the area of slope 1.

• Ski touring is only permitted on slope 1
• Time window: daily from 08:00 to 16:00

Please note

• Parking is subject to a fee.
• Please be especially careful on the slopes, as snow groomers may be in operation.
• Ski touring outside slope 1 is not permitted.

To protect the sensitive black grouse during the mating and breeding season, the Austrian Federal Forests kindly ask all ski tourers to stay within slope 1 and respect the defined time window.
