Trachtengwandskitag

Tradition meets spring skiing

When dirndls and lederhosen meet spring snow on the slopes, it’s time once again for the Trachtengwand Ski Day at Hochkar. A day when skiing becomes more than just a sport – it’s all about tradition, joie de vivre and pure piste fun in the heart of spring.
Colorful traditional costumes, strong calves and a great atmosphere define the scene on the slopes. Those who come dressed in traditional attire are not only admired but also rewarded: 50% off the day ski pass is available for all guests in traditional costume directly at the lift ticket office on site. Online booking is not possible on this day.
Mountain hut rally, raffle and great vibes
A special highlight is the planned mountain hut rally with stamp card, taking you from hut to hut while discovering Hochkar’s culinary side. With a bit of luck, attractive prizes await you at the end in the raffle.
After the ski day, the fun continues seamlessly with après-ski, good music and a lively atmosphere. For an authentic traditional flair, folk dance and Schuhplattler performances are planned, adding an extra touch of Alpine heritage. Further details will follow.
Skiing as a way of life
The Trachtengwand Ski Day is a fixed highlight of the Hochkar spring season every year. Whether on the slopes, at the mountain huts or during the relaxed get-together in the afternoon, skiing here becomes an experience for all the senses.
So take your traditional outfit out of the wardrobe, clip into your skis and celebrate spring at Hochkar. More details about the program will be announced soon.
