How to get to Hochkar

You can easily reach Hochkar by car via the A1 Westautobahn and the Hochkarstraße from Lassing. From both Vienna and Salzburg, it takes around 2 hours to reach the mountain.

Important information regarding the requirement for snow chains

The access road to the Hochkar is cleared regularly in winter and is usually passable without any problems. Should snow chains become compulsory due to weather conditions, we will keep you updated via a pop-up on our website and in our online shop.
