The Hochkarschach

Underground world of limestone

Thinking of the Hochkar cave, the following images come to mind: the 20-meter-high Pfingsthalle with large limestone crystals on the walls. In the adjacent layered hall, the exact opposite: smooth cave ceilings bursting with historical tales. As a conclusion of the cave spectacle, the reddish colored stalactite organs, which have formed over thousands of years, impress.

The recommendation of the Hochkar team: Explore the stalactite cave with a guide! Safely equipped with helmet and headlamp, the guide will take you down into the depths of the Göstlinger Alps. The experienced cave guides will tell you historical anecdotes and explain the special features of the individual shafts and halls.

Tip: Icy temperatures and slippery ground often await you underground. So dress warmly and grab your hiking boots!
